In the depth of my mind,
secretly,
I have been seeking You,
O companion!

Tell me,
why did You come to me?
Into this garden,
in silence?
You came and stood smilingly, why?

The flowers have become dull,
the creepers have bowed
and the earth has cracked
due to the intense sun and heat.
Have You forgotten all about it?

The cuckoo does no longer coo sweetly.
The nightingale does not sing with melody and rhythm.
The separated ones cry constantly.

And all are restless with hurt sentiments and agony.

In the core of my heart I ask hidingly,
O Lord,
why have You come for me,
why have You come
and stood with a soft smile
silently in a lonely forest?

The flowers are fading,
perhaps due to the strong sunshine,
and the creepers are bending down.
The earth is broken from this heat.
Have You forgotten about it?

The cuckoos left, singing sweetly.
The nightingales are no more singing melodiously.
The lower beings, estranged in separation of You,
are offended and weep.
You have overwhelmed everyone.
