Who are You who came
with a lamp in hand
to show me the path to travel on
in this dark night?

I do not know nor recognise You,
yet, You came near me
and loved me irresistibly.

In the dark,
I could not recognise the path.
No one was with me to call my own.

I continued calling an unknown friend,
when You poured into my ear
the mantra to address and call You.

I had been moving with previous momentum,
intoxicated with attachment to the path,
aimlessly rushing about without pause.

You came
and showed to me the proper path.
You told to move on a straight path.
