Clouds after clouds accumulate in the rain season’s sky.

There are storms, heavy downpours of water and gale force winds.

The nests of birds are blown off
and the wet traveler seeks shelter.
Paddy fields and water streams appear ocean like.

The boatman sails his boat, oblivious of shores and banks.
He is unable to estimate the depth of this deep water.
For him the rain means sorrow.
