For You, my whole life,
how many songs have I been singing,
O beloved?

I used to find lyrics,
without having melody and tune.
Whenever I found them,
the song did not sound nice.

So many songs have I sung in the mornings,
removing the darkness-filled web of inertia,
decorating my mental arena with morning flowers,
and establishing You, O most revered!

By the wee bit of the flow of Your mercy,
I continued singing many songs,
mixing in them endeavour and vitality,
for which only You provided consciousness.
