O formless Lord
for whom do You wait anxiously
in this temple of forms?

You entangle us in illusory love
for that which will not last long.
For these forms must merge
in Your formlessness
through Your grace.

Why did You so sportingly create
this colourful ephemeral world?
Its movement has its place, no doubt,
in Your circular imaginative flow.

Yet why did You choose to delude our minds
who must ultimately merge in You.
Why did You create this temple of forms,
and for whom do You anxiously wait?
