When You came,
I was in a deep, unconscious sleep.
You sat beside my bed,
yet I did not understand You had arrived.

The strings of Your viina vibrated again and again.
The musical octave began to tinkle.
With the night breeze,
my closed doors opened up.
Yet, I did not open my eyes.

Awakening, I saw Your floral garland lying by my side.
In my mental banner, its fragrance still lingers on.
It is as though it tells me:
“Do not sleep any more.
Look at the eastern morning rays.”
