O Lord Krsna
Ghana Shya’m
please come to my sweet floral garden.

I have kept it decorated with flowers and leaves.
Like the cakor bird waiting for the moonlight
so do the dearest of the devotees, the gopiis
await You.

The ma’dhavii flower creeper
is anxious and restless to satiate its beloved.

There is an intense desire to please the beloved
to make Him happy, expecting a glimpse of total surrender.
The flower offering in my palm

is beset with sweetness, sandal and incense.
My mental garland of vaejayanti flowers is studded with a shining Kaostubha diamond of
Your choice.

.................................................................................

O Lord
with flowers and garlands
have I decorated the place kept for You only.
Please come!

It is intoxicated with Your bliss.
In the same way that the cakor bird awaits rain only
and the canderi bird sees only the moon
Your gopi awaits You
with an anxious and intense desire.

The madhavi flower blooms so fully.
You can only see flowers
not a single leaf or stem.
In the same way, I too have opened myself up.

We are waiting with feelings of madness for You.
As the raganuga music incites
feelings of the pain of separation
we too are feeling pain
unable to bear separation from You.

Here, in the place I have kept for You only
there are bunches of flowers
intoxicated with the fragrance of honey.
There is sandalwood and a'goru fragrance.
From the innermost diamond of our hearts
we have made garlands for You.
