I constantly float in the flow of Your divine play.

Sometimes, You seem far away,
sometimes, You come very near.

Sometimes, sitting on my eyelids
during meditation (dhya'na),
You appear to me
and illuminate the dark night.

Day and night,
I wish I would find You
in the innermost recesses of my mind.

Sometimes, darkness surrounds me
and makes me restless with tears.

Then, my heart cries out in agony,
and I find myself,
as it were,
far away from You.

In the flow of Your play,
I am floating.
Sometimes You go far away,
sometimes You come close.

Sometimes You come and,
for a moment, sit in my meditation.
You come, illuminating darkness.

I wish You were,
day and night,
always in my mind.

Sometimes darkness surrounds me
and I anxiously shed tears.

Then my painful heart dies,
and weeps,
thinking it is far away from You,
thinking it is far away.
