If by chance,
during one of Your leisure periods,
You think of me,
forget that anytime I loved You.

For You,
expecting Your arrival on the golden chariot,
I had tied my chignon
and threaded a garland.

But, today,
like a serpent devoid of its jewel,
I cry in pain.

You forgot that on several bright mornings,
I had picked up flowers to decorate You.
Now, all my sweetness became lost beyond limits,
it vanished into the sky.

........................................................

If in an idle moment You ever thought of me,
please forget that memory.
Please, forget that I ever loved You.

It was for You that I braided my hair and wove a garland
But today like a serpent devoid of its jewel,

I am burning in agony.

I have descended from that golden chariot.
Please forget on how many red dawns
I picked flowers to adorn You.
Today all the sweetness is lost
and fled beyond the void.

Explanation: A poetic / mythological allegory for the soul.
A serpent with a jewel in its crown symbolises the unit mind and its soul.
The golden chariot symbolises the hiranmaya kos'a, the subtlest layer of mind.
