By Your touch,
the lamp of my heart glittered.

The dry wooden stand of my lamp
turned into consciousness.

I did not have gems and jewels,
nor an eye dazzling neckless of diamonds.

Only non compromising and limitless love did I possess,
which was what brought You into my fold.

I did not have any knowledge of philosophy,
nor any accumulated virtue of pilgrimage.
For Your grace, I begged like a destitute.

When Your causeless grace came,
my afflicted heart found fulfilment.
