What for do you pour out morning light,
who is He who has forgotten you in His mind?

During sleep, while awake,
with whose love,
do you colour your life with a smiling face?

In the heavenly garden,
is the charming parijata flower not there
to win your mind with its beauty?

With everything available to you,
why do you turn restless,
wanting to select resonances?

You have no choice;
the whole universe (both the living and the nonliving)
is full of personal and collective contact (otah and protah).

O Lord,
You are adored and worshiped externally,
and yet, You exist in the depth of the microcosmic mind.
