O Lord, I continued searching You in distant external world, in hills, caves, temples
pilgrim places, and holy waters uselessly. I thought that I would get knowledge from the
scriptures, as they can hold and bring You. By rosary garland and forehead mark, I thought
that I would get sama’dhi, the trance, and honor from public would come. I thought that
by hard penance, I can get You, and attain You by dint of intuition. I also thought that
by spending money, I would gain virtue and Your grace, and I never searched You in the
light of love.
